Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Brendan Carr, the senior Republican member of the Federal Communications Commission, has criticized Kamala Harris' appearance on the final Saturday Night Live episode ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

The US Vice President became the latest in a long line of politicians to appear on the famed comedy sketch show.

A senior FCC Commissioner said the Vice President’s appearance on the show violated the ‘equal time’ rule that governs political broadcasting.

“The purpose of the rule is to avoid exactly this type of biased and partisan conduct."
