New England Patriots safety and team captain Jabrill Peppers was arrested early Saturday morning on assault and drug possession charges, police announced on Monday.

An altercation between two people led to the arrest and Peppers is expected to face multiple assault and charges.

Peppers, 29, was scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Quincy District Court on the charges.
