Cyclone Dana likely to form over Bay of Bengal, hit Odisha-Bengal on October 24
The cyclonic storm is expected to intensify into a depression by October 22 morning and a cyclonic storm by October 23, before moving towards the northwest Bay of Bengal, nearing the Odisha-West Bengal coasts by the morning of October 24.

According to the weather office, wind speeds in the Central Bay of Bengal are forecasted to reach 35 to 45 km/h, with gusts up to 55 km/h, from October 22 to 24, leading to rough to very rough sea conditions.
