An Alaska man accused of sending graphic threats to injure and kill six Supreme Court justices and some of their family members has been indicted on federal charges.

Prosecutors said in an indictment filed Wednesday that the messages were sent between March 2023 and mid-July 2024.

A 76-year-old Alaska man has been charged for making alleged threats against Supreme Court justices.

It remained unclear whether the man, Panos Anastasiou, came close to carrying out his threats, and public records indicate that he is not affiliated with any political party.

Sept. 19 (UPI) -- The Justice Department Thursday reported the arrest of an Alaska man Wednesday for allegedly threatening to injure and kill six U.S. Supreme Court Justices and some of their family members.

Panos Anastasiou has been indicted on 22 counts of making threats after authorities say he threatened to hurt and kill six Supreme Court justices and members of their families.
