OPPO Find X8 Ultra & Find N5 flagship foldable launch timeframe revealed

The OPPO Find X8 Ultra and OPPO Find N5 won’t be coming this month, but the launch timeframe for these two devices has been tipped. The OPPO Find X8 and OPPO Find X8 Pro will become official this month, though.

OPPO announced that those two smartphones will be launching on October 24. The company announced that much yesterday. Both of those devices will become official in China first, but they’re expected to arrive to global markets too, at least one of them.

With that being said, the OPPO Find X8 Ultra and OPPO Find N5 will follow in Q1 2025, it seems. This information comes from Teme, a tipster. This is not the first time the Find N5 was rumored to launch in Q1 next year, by the way. The OnePlus Open 2 is also expected to arrive then, perhaps even at the same time.

As many of you know, the OPPO Find N3 and OnePlus Open are identical phones, with slightly different software, and different branding. The same is expected from the OPPO Find N5 and OnePlus Open 2.

Those two smartphones are expected to be thinner and lighter than their predecessors, while various other improvements are expected. A 6,000mAh battery was mentioned too. The OPPO Find N3 and OnePlus Open are considered to be amongst the best foldables still, if not the best ones. So their successors are definitely eagerly awaited.

Both of these smartphones will likely be fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Elite

What about the OPPO Find X8 Ultra? Well, not much is known about this handset thus far. What we expect it to deliver, however, is the Snapdragon 8 Elite aka Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor. The OPPO Find X8 and Find X8 Pro will likely utilize the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chip which launched recently.

The OPPO Find N5 is also expected to utilize the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. That’s probably why OPPO moved its launch from early Q4 this year to Q1 next year. As a reminder, the OPPO Find N3 launched in October 2023, the same goes for the OnePlus Open.
