Galaxy S25 Slim won't launch alongside other S25 phones: Tipster
by Kristijan Lucic · Android HeadlinesThe Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim has been making the rounds lately. The device’s name was first mentioned recently, after which its model number appeared, and a confirmation of its existence by a well-known tipster.
The Galaxy S25 Slim won’t launch alongside the rest of the Galaxy S25 family
With that being said, another well-known tipster, Max Jambor, just said that the Galaxy S25 Slim won’t be launching alongside the rest of the Galaxy S25 family. He said that the phone “exists behind closed doors”, but that “it won’t be released alongside the rest of the S25 lineup”.
By the sound of this, it likely won’t launch before the rest of the Galaxy S25 series. That means that it’s not coming before January next year, when these three smartphones are expected to arrive.
The Galaxy S25 Slim is expected to utilize an ‘Ultra’ camera. That info came from Ice Universe, one of the best-known tipsters around. We’re not sure if he tried to say that the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s camera setup (or at least the main shooter) will be used, but it’s possible. He went out of his way to emphasize the world ‘Ultra’.
This handset will compete with the iPhone 17 Slim
That’s basically everything we know about this smartphone. Based on its name, its goal will be to compete with the rumored iPhone 17 Slim. Both of those companies may choose a different name for the final product, though.
The Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra designs were revealed by us, exclusively. We already have quite a bit of information about all three of those smartphones. They’re expected to arrive in Q1, but we’re still not sure when exactly.
All three devices are expected to utilize the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. There may be a special ‘for Galaxy’ variant of it for these phones, though. Also, there’s a chance that the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ will end up utilizing the Exynos 2500 in Europe, but nothing is set in stone yet.
