Tesco warning to customers ahead of Christmas delivery deal cut-off

Tesco has issued a deadline day warning to customers that time is running out to sign up for a Delivery Saver plan. Shoppers with the saver deal can gain early access to online Christmas slots this year.

People can still sign up for it until 11.59pm tonight and secure early access to online slots for the festive period this year. Slots open for all Delivery Saver Anytime and Delivery Saver Click+Collect customers at 6am tomorrow - a week’s head start on other customers who can book from November 12 at 6am.

The chain said it will have thousands of extra slots available this year in the two weeks leading up to Christmas compared with last year. It has added 60 more delivery vans to its fleet, boosting capacity for customers as the big day draws closer - with thousands of extra slots across the UK.

The store's Delivery Saver is Tesco’s subscription-based delivery service which it says is designed to help reduce the cost of regular online grocery orders. It has a range of plans running for 6 or 12 months and starting as £2.49 a month.

Any orders are then either delivered to you or available through the Click+Collect service at selected stores. Clubcard vouchers can be converted into reward tokens that can then be used as payment for a Delivery Saver subscription.

Tesco has also increased the capacity of its rapid delivery service, Whoosh, with thousands of extra slots available on Christmas Eve this year – meaning customers can shop for last-minute essentials or forgotten items for the all-important Christmas Day feast.
