Tesco issues important message to all customers before Christmas
by Isobel Pankhurst · Wales OnlineTesco has issued a reminder that time is running out for those hoping to secure an early Christmas delivery slot.
Customers can get early access to thousands of delivery slots for Christmas food by signing up to the supermarket giant's Delivery Saver plan until 11:59pm on Monday night.
Slots will then open for all Delivery Saver Anytime and Delivery Saver Click+Collect customers at 6am tomorrow - a week’s head start.
Later slots will then open for all other customers on November 12 at 6am, which is one week earlier than last year.
And it's not just earlier slots that Tesco have utilised to help shoppers this festive season, it has also added 60 more delivery vans to its fleet, and added thousands of extra slots across the UK.
Delivery saver is Tesco’s subscription-based delivery service designed to help reduce the cost of regular online grocery orders, with a range of plans running for six or 12 months and starting from just £2.49 a month.
If you haven't joined yet but are a Tesco Clubcard holder, your points and vouchers can be used to pay for a Delivery Saver subscription.
Tom Denyard, Managing Director of Tesco Online said: "As we help customers plan ahead for their Christmas shop this year, we want customers to know that time is running out to sign up for a Delivery Saver Anytime Plan and benefit from festive priority slot bookings which go live tomorrow morning.
"We’re looking forward to helping customers across the UK pick up their family favourites or treat themselves to something special this festive season. We are also excited to be providing increased capacity with thousands of extra slots available in the fortnight leading up to Christmas Day.
"And there is no better time to sign up to a convenient Delivery Saver plan and benefit from festive priority slot bookings.
"Delivery Saver plans not only give you early access to slots this Christmas, but they can also save you an amazing £176 a year on delivery or collection fees."
