There’s a lot on the table for Xbox Game Pass to pick up, though frankly, it’d still lead October in excitement if Microsoft chose to add nothing more than Black Ops 6, which is set to come to the service this month in the first ever day one Xbox Game Pass release for the franchise since the Microsoft-Activision deal; of course, another Call of Duty title hit Xbox Game Pass in the July 2024 lineup with MW3, which was a big deal, but it wasn't a new release. • Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 (console, cloud, PC) – October 25

It’s obviously a huge month thanks, in large part, to the arrival of Black Ops 6; but Inscryption is one of the finest indie titles in recent memory, practically redesigning what a card game can be. Another massive win for Xbox Game Pass, if you ask me.

Xbox Game Pass October 2024 games – Xbox Game Pass Standard

Xbox Game Pass has recently muddied its foolproof approach by rejigging its service tiers, dividing the service's tiers that offer games to play at no extra cost called Xbox Game Pass Standard (which has a huge catalogue of games), Xbox Game Pass PC (a similar service for those who want to play specifically on PC) and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (an all-in-one package that also features the biggest additions, cloud gaming and day one releases).

As the service rolls on, it will often open the gates for games exclusive to higher tiers to be offered to those subscribed on lower tiers, and in this instance, a few titles have been made available to players on Xbox Game Pass Standard for the first time.

The following have spent some time on Game Pass Ultimate, but are available to both Xbox Game Pass Standard and Ultimate subscribers now:
