The latest GTA Online update is coming with a spooky theme, featuring a sci-fi electrical prod weapon that's going to be incredibly handy when chasing Bounty Targets.

GTA Online is coming through with a brand new weekly update, providing some great gaffs for Halloween and all of the shifting bonuses and freebies you've come to expect from the game.

Even a decade on from its debut, GTA Online shows absolutely no sign of stopping, and we dread to think of the soaring heights that the new iteration of the game will reach after the launch of GTA 6. The chance to jump into a sandbox world and blow each other to bits is simply too alluring for some players, and as Rockstar keeps offering them plenty of content to engage with, there’s genuinely no reason for the most dedicated fans of the GTA series to consider looking elsewhere for their entertainment.

Rockstar’s constant providing of the goods has kept players attached, like February's Declasse Impaler SZ addition, and as its weekly updates roll out and new changes come to the game to wipe clean October's GTA Plus rewards, there’s always something to look forward to when you intend to log in and drive the streets (and pavements) of Los Santos.

GTA Online weekly update – October 1 to November 7

This week's GTA Online update is particularly special, as it comes packed with a huge wealth of new content to celebrate Halloween, including an exciting new weapon. Here's everything that Rockstar Games has revealed to be coming to the game in a brand new blog post:

New weapon and mode

If you complete a UFO Abduction mission in GTA Online, not only will you be winning yourself GTA$, RP, and the returing Green and White UFO Boxer Shorts, you'll also earn The Shocker, a sci-fi device which ultimately amounts to a charmingly decorated cattle prod. You'll be able to use it to perform some non-lethal takedowns, especially when it comes to Bounty Targets.

Halloween gifts

There are more free Halloween gifts waiting for you in-game, offering you the Halloween Spooky Tee, Halloween Chute Bag and Red Flaming Skill Mask simply if you sign into the game this week.
