PS Plus Extra and Premium August 2024 – Dead Island 2 and Two Point Campus joins the service

PS Plus has just revealed the latest games to come to its Extra and Premium game tiers, and among them is an open-world adventure that launched very recently.

PS Plus truly delivered for subscribers last month, which means that they've got some work to do to ensure the momentum stays up – and the new games hoping to do exactly that have just been revealed.

PS Plus is going from strength to strength right now, and there’s a lot riding on a big success this month. Last month’s reveals were incredible, as PlayStation’s State of Play presentation revealed the arrival of Dead Space to Essentials subscribers, and a shocking TLOU Extra and Premium drop as a little bonus on top of September monthly games for subs, featuring the day one launch of The Plucky Squire.

Sony has impressed its patrons when it comes to the subscription services it offers in the last month, but now, the bar is set pretty high – they’re going to have to do a lot to keep players happy. Luckily, though, there’s a couple of games coming to PS Plus before the year is out that is keeping a lot of players excited.

The September State of Play also revealed that by the time 2024 is up, Dino Crisis and Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain will be coming to the Premium tier of PS Plus, marking another level of excitement for players who were left out in the cold by Exoprimal and are hoping to get back into the Legacy of Kain franchise with its first two games getting a remaster soon. It's a compelling roster that has finally brought Dino Crisis to the service, and its headliners are impressive too with the arrival of Dead Island 2 serving as a great entry point for a lot of players. Whether fans consider it on par with the drop of The Last of Us Part 1 is anyone's guess right now, but we'll certainly take the titles either way.
