Call of Duty Black Ops 6 down as users unable to log in amid server connection outage
Nearly 1,500 Call of Duty players reported issues with the popular game this evening, with some saying they were experiencing server connection problems and others unable to log in
by Chiara Fiorillo · The MirrorPopular video game Call of Duty is down, with some users saying they have been left unable to log in.
Down Detector, which monitors issues and outages online, has seen a spike in reports relating to outages related to the military first-person shooter game. As of 6pm this evening, nearly 1,500 users submitted reports on the website, mentioning problems with the server connection, login and game play.
The website shows 67 per cent of users were reporting problems with the server connection and 30 per cent said they couldn't log into the game. A further three per cent reported problems with game play, as shown on Down Detector.
Players have been jumping into the latest Call of Duty title in their droves, with Black Ops 6 enjoying a successful launch, particularly if the PC player count is any indication, with website SteamDB revealing that Activision's newest title enjoyed a peak player count of over 306,000 players on Steam during launch week, comfortably exceeding the 190,000 players that MW3 drew in during the same period last year.
Of course, these numbers don't include any players who are enjoying the game on PlayStation and Xbox, but considering the FPS is the first Call of Duty title to launch on Xbox Game Pass on day one, it would be no surprise if the game is more popular than last year's title on console too.
