Hunters rejoice! Taking down crocodile boss Rotjaw will no longer be a damp squib of a win thanks to today's patch that'll see you properly rewarded for your efforts,

Crytek has been having a heck of a time since Hunt: Showdown 1896 got its next-gen update and landed on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S back in August. As part of the game's overhaul, Crytek launched a new map, and is slowly reintroducing the original three, with Stillwater Bayou being the first to return in September. Nevertheless, longtime players have been unhappy since the revamp, with the new UI coming under fire, as well as harbouring other bugbears that they've not been shy about voicing.

But hopefully today's update should smooth over a few wrinkles. Hunt: Showdown 1896 servers are going down for a few hours this morning for update 2.1.0.2 that will roll out a fix for the top three causes of crashing on both PC and console. It'll also fix the bounty reward for crocodile boss, Rotjaw; the scaly scamp had its bounty bumped up from one token to two tokens in update 2.01, which brought Stillwater Bayou back to the game. But not all players have been getting their hard-earned rewards.

There are a number of Reddit posts lamenting the fact, with a comment on this one in particular illustrating that some players weren't even aware the boss' bounty had been increased to begin with. But once Hunt: Showdown 1896 servers are back today, Rotjaw should be fixed so get hunting! And, of course, we've got the crash fixes for all platforms, including the PS5 bug that saw the game crash when browsing the Hunter Store.

Here's when Hunt: Showdown 1896 servers are going offline and when they're back – as well as early patch notes for update 2.1.0.2.
