Interestingly, I’m not sure why this story has resurfaced and gone viral again, especially since the original version gained traction in 2019, with various iterations popping up. For instance, there was another claim from Ellesmere Port about someone discovering a Nokia 3310 with 70% battery remaining after 20 years, but that was later revealed to be satire.
Ah well, the Nokia 3310 made a comeback in 2017, so I suppose this story can too!
