Microsoft Teams for Personal (Free) Gets Visual Refresh On Desktop & Web

by · Tech Viral

In March of this year, Microsoft rolled out a visual update exclusively for Teams designed for Personal (free) use to enhance the user experience and make it even more delightful.

The Redmond giant recently rolled out another visual update for the desktop and web versions of Teams for Personal (free). This update features larger, more engaging avatars and enhanced reactions to foster closer connections among people.

Additionally, the space between elements has been increased within the app, and the colors and materials for the web and desktop versions of Teams for Personal have been updated, with the aim of creating “a simpler and more welcoming environment” for app users.

Besides the visual enhancement, Microsoft also announced Community Owner Badges for Teams for Personal users on both desktop and web versions. This feature was previously available only to the mobile users of the Teams for Personal service.

“These badges appear on posts and replies from community owners, making it easy to identify them in all community surfaces. By clicking the badge, you can view the full member roster,” the company said in a blog post.

In August, Microsoft added several new features for Teams for Personal users, including the ability to pin and unpin community conversations, swiftly locate shared files in a community by using the new Files tab, improve share screening in the app, change custom notification sounds (Windows only), and add a LinkedIn page to the user’s Teams for Personal profile.
