The REDMAGIC Nova Gaming Tablet is an Android tablet with a 10.9 inch, 2880 x 1800 pixel display featuring a 144 Hz refresh rate and 840 Hz touch sampling rate, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, and active cooling to help keep the hardware running smoothly during extended gaming sessions.

First launched in China earlier this month, the gaming tablet will be available in global markets soon with prices starting at $499 for a model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage or $649 for a 16GB/512GB model.

REDMAGIC says the tablet will be available from redmagic.gg in select global markets starting October 16th, but customers who want to reserve one a little early will be able to sign up for an Early Bird offer on October 7th, which will let them actually buy the tablet on October 15th.

In addition to a high-quality display, a speedy processor, and 9-layer cooling system plus a 20,000 RPM fan, the REDMAGIC NOVA Gaming tablet features:

  • LPDDR5x memory
  • UFS 4.0 storage
  • 10,100 mAh battery
  • 80W fast charging (the Chinese version supports 120W)
  • USB Type-C for power, data, and video output
  • Quad speakers with DTS:X Ultra audio
  • 3 microphones
  • Fingerprint sensor (in power button)
  • 50MP primary camera
  • 20MP front camera

And of course, it wouldn’t be a gaming device without RGB lights. In this case they’re visible on the back of the tablet, where they’re incorporated with the REDMAGIC logo and the tablet’s fan.

The REDMAGIC Nova Gaming Tablet measures 53.3 x 164.6 x 7.3mm (10″ x 6.5″ x 0.3″) and weighs 530 grams (1.2 pounds). It ships with Android 14, and there’s no mention in REDMAGIC’s press release of how many software updates users can expect, or how frequently they’ll be delivered.

The company also plans to offer optional accessories for the tablet including a Smart Magnetic Keyboard and a Red Magic Pen with support for 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity.
