A savvy home cook and food expert claimed we’ve all been opening crisp packets the "wrong way", as he unveiled his latest creation on TikTok.

Ollie (@ollie_eats) captivated his followers with a video showing how to transform an ordinary packet of crisps – or in his case, mini poppadoms – into an impressive sharing meal for two.

Starting with a grab bag of lime and coriander flavoured Walkers Sensations Poppadoms, Ollie dives into his snack hack with gusto "Opening it from the back seam then folding the bag in half you create an epic two-person sharing bag," he stated enthusiastically.

Demonstrating each step meticulously, Ollie then adorned his poppadoms with a mix of mango and lime leftover turkey, piquant hot sauce raita dip, and a garnish of onion and coriander. And elaborating on his technique, he penned in a caption: "I split in the bag on the back seam you can turn it into this handy little stand. I topped mine with some leftover turkey meat pan fried in some lime and pickle then I smothered it in hot sauce and raita dip."

Concluding with a question to his audience, Ollie asked: "This came out really good, but I'd love to know what packet of crisps would you like me to hack next?"

One of his 529,000 followers came up with the suggestion: "Monster Munch roast beef with leftover roast dinner and gravy?" while a second pondered the more unusual combo of "Doritos with Mountain Dew".

Elsewhere in the comments section, fans were quick to praise Ollie's culinary creation, with one TikTok user exclaiming: "These are banging!" Another chimed in with a keen "Yes please!" while a third humorously remarked: "Sharing? No."

Ollie then shared another kitchen experiment - his Shawarma Yorkshire Puddings. "Today, we're doing a little fridge raid! " he declared. "I've got some leftover Yorkshire puddings from Sunday's roast and some chicken shawarma that's nearing its expiration date. Fridge raiding is an art form - a fun, creative way to reduce food waste."

He continued, explaining his approach: "The key is to start with your base carb, like these Yorkshire puddings, then build the concept of your dish from there, using whatever ingredients you need to use up. This isn't about a specific recipe; it's about the concept of opening your fridge and getting inventive with what you got."

However, this time Ollie decided against sharing his exact recipe, aiming to inspire others to get inventive on their own. "This was a perfect lunch and I'm not going to give you the recipe because I want you to get into your fridge and start raiding."
