A smartwatch on Amazon that is said to have "the same features" as the likes of Apple and Fitbit is currently enjoying an impressive 78 percent discount.

With the popularity of these modern day gadgets, it's easy to think that you need to pay big money for one that offers both top-quality and all the features. However, there are quite a few more affordable options worth checking out.

One of them is the Uaue Smart Watch that has been praised for being "similar" to the pricier branded smartwatches on the market. While it would usually set you back a staggering £99.99, Amazon is offering it for just £21.99 in a limited time deal.

The Uaue Smartwatch boasts a 1.91-inch "vivid" HD display touch screen that you can customise. There's a built-in microphone and speaker that will allow you to answer and make phone calls, while Bluetooth connects to Facebook, Whatsapp, Messenger and more.

It also acts as the perfect health companion that can accurately provide real-time results that monitor your heart rate, blood oxygen levels and even your sleep routine. There's also over 110 sports modes to choose that will keep track of your activity goals.

The smartphone gadget is also IP68 waterproof, meaning it can be worn when in the shower, swimming and even out in the rain. The detachable wrist band has been designed to offer a lightweight and breathable fit that won't cause any irritation.

Currently rated 4.2 stars on Amazon, with reviews that praise its battery life and features that are the same as you would find on pricier brands, it's easy to see why the Uaue Smartwatch is popular among bargain hunters.

One positive review read: "Bought for my dad for the purpose of tracking his health and he absolutely loved it! Great performance and functionality does almost everything an Apple Watch does! Highly recommended!"

Tech deal of the week

Amazon shoppers are raving over a "powerful" portable heater that they are using instead of turning on the full central heating system.

There's no denying that temperatures are dropping, bringing the annual dilemma of heating the home or saving energy. If you're trying to heat just one room, then a portable heater will come in handy.

On Amazon, one of the top buys is the Pro Breeze 2000W Mini Ceramic Fan Heater, and it's on offer for 44 percent less. Retailing at £44.99, this limited time deal has been reduced to £24.99 - saving shoppers £20 off the RRP.

The 2000W heater has been praised in reviews for its compact and energy-saving design that heats single rooms "quickly". It comes with three power settings, a fan-only mode and an adjustable thermostat that monitors the air temperature, turning it off when it has reached the desired temperature.

Its "lightweight" design means that it is easy to transport from room to room, which means you don't have to heat unoccupied rooms. There's also a couple of safety features such as an overheat protection and an anti-tip-over switch.

With thousands of glowing reviews and a 4.4 rating on Amazon, this heater might be small, yet many users have said that it "packs a punch" and also "works faster than central heating."

One glowing review read: "Great little heater that really packs a punch. Takes the edge off a cold room very quickly. Light and compact which is great for my wife who is disabled."

A second five-star review read: "Powerful little thing! It’s small but mighty. Good price, takes up virtually no room, easily moved."

A second satisfied Amazon user said: "I love the feel and value of the watch. I found it to work just as well as my Fitbit Versa. The only difference is this watch has much better battery life than my Fitbit Versa, which is great when I am traveling. You can't beat the price compared to Samsung, Google, Fitbit, and Apple watches. I would recommend it to anyone trying to gauge their fitness activity."

Someone else penned: "What a great product bought as a stocking filler for my daughter but is one of her favourite presents, step tracker is accurate and she loves being able to check her socials on the watch . Would highly recommend to anyone looking to purchase a great value smart watch with all the smart features that you would expect from a Samsung or Apple watch."

Someone else said: "Super cute, efficient, accurate, smart! This watch was so affordable compared to the Apple Watch and it has most if not all the features of the same for a fraction of the cost. I especially enjoy tracking my steps and heart rate and the immediacy of sending/receiving messages. My new everyday accessory and the battery lasts over 2 days."

One user knocked a star off over its step counting accuracy, as they wrote: "Great watch for the price, seems decent quality so far and is easy to use. Only issue for me is it doesn’t count steps accurately at all, so if this is important to you I wouldn’t buy it. For example before I’ve written this review, I’ve walked down my stairs, been out to the car, and then walked through my house and made breakfast. My watch says I’ve done zero steps!"
