Ahead of its market launch in 2025, the new generation Renault Duster has been caught testing in India for the first time. The spy pictures have arrived from Kerala indicating that the road testing of the midsize SUV has commenced on public roads. The trio of images show the alloy wheels and tail section of the upcoming SUV reminiscing that of the existing global model despite wearing a black wrap.
The five-seater will take on Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, MG Astor, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq and Honda Elevate amongst others. The latest Duster made its world debut late last year and is based on the modular CMF-B architecture, which is extensively used across different brands in Europe.
The India-spec 2025 Renault Duster will be underpinned by the heavily localised version of the CMF-B platform and it will be rolled out of Renault-Nissan alliance’s production facility in Oragadam near Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It will also give rise to a Nissan sibling in 2025 as well while their respective seven-seater variants will also arrive in the near future.

While exact powertrain specs haven’t been officially revealed, rumors hint at the introduction of two turbocharged petrol engines paired with both manual and automatic transmission options.
The interior is anticipated to be well-equipped, offering a host of features, and Renault and Nissan are likely to adopt a competitive pricing strategy for these new models, aligning them with the value-for-money approach seen in their current lineup.
