Aprilia Tuono 457 Naked Bike Leaks (RS 457 Based) – India Launch Soon

by · GaadiWaadi.com

Aprilia Tuono 457 will derive power from the familiar 457 cc parallel-twin engine, delivering 46.9 bhp and a peak torque of 43.5 Nm

Leaked images of the upcoming Aprilia Tuono 457 have surfaced just ahead of its debut at the EICMA 2024 show in Italy. While sharing its twin-beam aluminium frame with the well-received RS 457, the Tuono 457 features an appealing design with plenty of street cred as it differentiates itself from its faired supersport sibling with a unique identity.

The Aprilia Tuono 457 sports minimalist sleek fairing, boomerang-shaped LED Daytime Running Lights that add an aggressive flair while tank extensions complement the overall streamlined and muscular look. At the rear, the reshaped tail section enhances its individuality. Considering that the RS 457 is aggressively priced in India, we do expect a similar strategy followed for the Tuono 457.

The naked streetfighter could make its local debut at the IBW 2024 in December before going on sale in the domestic market early next year. It could carry a starting price of around Rs. 3.75 lakh (ex-showroom) – Rs. 35,000 cheaper than the RS 457. It will also be rolled out of the brand’s production facility in Baramati, Maharashtra for India and global markets.

At the heart of the Aprilia Tuono 457 is a 457 cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled DOHC engine, delivering 46.9 bhp maximum power at 9,400 rpm and a peak torque of 43.5 Nm at 6,700 rpm. With a 270-degree firing order, this engine is designed to add a unique exhaust note and smoother power delivery. Coupled with a six-speed gearbox, the Tuono 457 should enable a balanced mix of performance and control for spirited rides and everyday commuting.

We already are a big fan of this motor and it will be interesting to see how it is calibrated on the Tuono 457. It will feature an upside-down fork setup at the front, paired with a monoshock at the rear for responsive handling and comfort on varied road conditions. Riding on 17-inch wheels, the Tuono 457 comes equipped with grippy Eurogrip Protorq Extreme rubber.
