Updated Hyundai Verna Launched In India, Priced From Rs. 11 Lakh

The updates to the Hyundai Verna are limited to a new rear spoiler and a new two-tone colour scheme; no mechanical changes have been made

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has today announced the introduction of a new rear spoiler and a new Amazon Grey single-tone paint scheme to the Verna’s lineup. The midsize sedan carries a starting price tag of Rs. 11 lakh and it goes all the way up to Rs. 17.47 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec variant with a price hike of Rs. 4,000 for all trims barring the base.

It’s available in eight monotone shades including the new Amazon Grey along with two dual-tone options. Besides the new one, the other choices that the Hyundai Verna is sold with are Titan Grey, Abyss Black, Atlas White, Typhoon Silver, Starry Night, Fiery Red, Tellurian Brown, Atlas White with Black Roof and Fiery Red with Black Roof.

The five-seater derives power from a 1.5L NA petrol, a 1.5L CRDi diesel and a 1.5L turbo petrol engine. The NA petrol develops 115 PS maximum power and 144 Nm of peak torque while the solo diesel mill kicks out 115 PS and 250 Nm. The turbo engine produces 160 PS and 253 Nm. Both manual and automatic transmissions are available including a seven-speed dual-clutch auto.

The Hyundai Verna, awarded a 5-star safety rating by Global NCAP, comes with 33 standard safety features including six airbags, 3-point seatbelts, Electronic Stability Control, Vehicle Stability Management, Hill Assist Control, and ISOFIX child seat mounts across all variants. The sedan is also equipped with Hyundai Smart Sense – Level 2 ADAS technology as well.  

It leverages front and rear radars, sensors, and a front camera to detect road obstacles, providing warnings and initiating corrective actions for enhanced safety.

The Hyundai Verna features an integrated 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, a fully digital instrument cluster, front ventilated and heated seats, 64-colour ambient lighting, and an eight-speaker Bose audio system, automatic climate control system and so on.
