Ahead of its official launch, Jeep India has commenced the bookings for the Meridian Facelift

Jeep India will soon launch the Meridian Facelift in the Indian market and as suggested by the spy shots, minor cosmetic updates are on the cards along with new feature additions. However, the biggest update to the package will be the introduction of the 5-seater version along with the existing 7-seater configuration. The bookings for the updated Jeep Meridian are now open for a token amount of Rs. 50,000.

The 5-seater configuration of the Meridian Facelift will help Jeep to set an aggressive starting price. Currently, the SUV is priced in the range of Rs. 31.23 lakh to Rs. 39.83 lakh (ex-showroom). The 5-seater version of the Meridian will likely sport an enormous amount of boot space along with providing the customers with a few extra variants to choose from.

In terms of design, the changes will likely be quite subtle including an updated front grille, minor revision to the headlamps and front bumper, a new set of 18-inch alloy wheels and there could be some changes to the rear profile as well. Inside the cabin, the three-layer dashboard design will come with a new grey finish, replacing the beige one in the outgoing model.

In addition to this, the chrome strip running across the dashboard has been replaced by a copper finish. These minor updates will give a refreshed appeal to the Meridian’s cabin. Apart from this, the familiar 10.25-inch instrument cluster and the 10.1-inch infotainment system will continue to be a part of the package, albeit with some new feature additions in the existing user interface.

The biggest highlight of the Meridian Facelift will be the inclusion of Level 2 ADAS. Other bells and whistles such as a 9-speaker Alpine audio system, front ventilated seats, wireless charger and electronic parking brake amongst others will continue as it is. Under the hood, the familiar 2.0 litre Multijet turbo diesel engine putting out 170 bhp and 350 Nm of peak torque will continue to power the Meridian Facelift.

It will be paired with a 6-speed manual and a 9-speed automatic gearbox option. Much like the outgoing model, the Meridian will be offered in both 4X2 and 4X4 drivetrain configurations. The prices of the Jeep Meridian Facelift will be announced soon along with the official unveil.
