Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 will go on sale in spring 2026 while the S6 scrambler EV could be introduced a year later

Royal Enfield has revealed its electric motorcycle brand, the Flying Flea, under which the C6 near-production prototype came to the fore yesterday ahead of its showcase at the 2024 EICMA show in Milan, Italy starting today. The Flying Flea C6 has been designed primarily for urban commuting and is capable of short trips outside the city.

The EV have been entirely developed in-house by Royal Enfield with several patents filed under the Flying Flea name. Constructed with an aluminium frame, the motorcycle houses a magnesium battery casing within the frame, designed to enhance cooling efficiency and reduce weight. The C6 features a circular TFT instrument console that provides extensive ride data and can connect to a smartphone app via Bluetooth.

This electric motorcycle also comes with advanced safety systems – first for RE – including traction control and cornering ABS. The brand has also confirmed that the C6 will be introduced in Spring 2026 but no technical specifications have been divulged. Royal Enfield will expand the Flying Flea range with the addition of a scrambler, which has been teased under the S6 nameplate.

It’s evident that the S6 model also utilises the same architecture as the C6, but it stands out with more premium equipment such as upside-down front forks with long travel, vintage wire-spoked wheels, a flat seat, and ample ground clearance to tackle off-roading conditions. Images reveal that this scrambler will feature a chain drive, adding to its classic appeal.

Royal Enfield could introduce the Flying Flea S6 in 2027 in India as well as globally. The new Flying Flea brand draws inspiration from Royal Enfield’s iconic 1940s Flying Flea motorcycle, a standout in automotive history. Originally engineered for WWII, these compact, lightweight bikes were airdropped by parachutes to provide soldiers with nimble, all-terrain mobility.

Later embraced by civilians for urban exploration, this spirit of lightness, agility, and versatility is said to define the new Flying Flea EV brand and its future electric lineup.
