Xbox players will soon be able to use a Virtual Support Agent when navigating the Xbox support website. The feature is now being tested by Xbox Insiders located in the United States, who can use the website's "Ask a question" page to speak to a new AI-powered Xbox Support Virtual Agent.

Xbox support tests a new AI Support Virtual Agent

As announced on Xbox Wire, the new Support Virtual Agent launches into a separate window when you access it via the "Ask a question" button on the Contact Us page. You can ask your questions via voice or text, and the Virtual Agent will then provide the relevant information found on the Xbox support website, which should "help Xbox players more efficiently solve their support-related gaming issues" If the AI agent cannot solve the issue you're having, you can ask to speak to a real person.

While only US Insiders who have English set as their preferred language can try out the new AI-powered support agent, it likely won't be long until it rolls out to everyone. Microsoft says during this preview, "You can also customize your support experience by clicking on the ellipsis menu icon and choosing between two different Support Virtual Agents," but it appears only to be a cosmetic effect.

As for other new Xbox features, players in the United States will be able to purchase and play Xbox games via the Android mobile app later this month.
