Google chat introduces video messaging and automatic transcription feature, try these today!

Google Chat has announced new features to enhance user experience. The update includes video messaging which will allow all the users to send video recordings up to 60 seconds. The update also includes the feature of automatic transcription of voice messages.

After the update, users can transcribe voice messages. Which will make it easier to read conversations. They can now see automatic transcriptions of voice messages in Chat on the web and mobile. It can be seen by tapping on the ‘view transcript’ option appears beneath the voice messages.

Users can also choose to receive email notifications for missed messages or calls.

The video messaging feature in Google Chat will help customer support teams to share updates on new features. It will also be helpful for sales teams to inform clients about account changes, companies to share important announcements. This feature can be used in direct messages (DMs), group DMs like any other chat messages and can be interacted with replying or reacting. Users can find all the sent and received messages in the Shared tab in media section.

However this feature is not available on mobile at this moment. Users can not access the video messaging option on ChromeOS, Linux, and Firefox. While they can receive them on all platforms, they can only be sent on the web.

These updates will make Google Chat better for communication and productivity, helping users work and connect more easily.
