Royal Enfield Himalayan tubeless spoke wheels launched, gets a price tag of Rs 11,000

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 which launched in India almost a year ago has now received an update in the form of tubeless spoked wheels. The buyers can opt for the tubeless spoked wheels by paying an extra Rs 11,000. The availability of the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 with tubeless spoked wheels makes it a better adventure tourer motorcycle. Since its launch, various biking enthusiasts have pointed out that this was an issue that the manufacturer could improve in the future.

Potential buyers can pay extra Rs 11,000 to opt for tubeless spoked wheels through the MIY configurator. However, if someone with the bike wants to get these specific wheels, he can pay Rs 12,424 at the dealership and get them. They can be purchased from October 3 at Royal Enfield dealerships. However, if you own a Himalayan 411, you cannot use it on your motorcycle.

Buyers should keep in mind that the Himalayan tubeless spoke wheels are an optional extra and are not offered as a standard accessory. In the overseas market, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is offered with tubeless wheels as standard on the Kamet White variant. The other variants can be opted with the same as an optional extra.

Specifications

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is powered by a 451.65cc engine that generates a maximum power of 40hp at 8000rpm. The peak torque offered by the engine is 40Nm at 5500rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. We get a USD fork at the front and a preload-adjustable mono-shock at the rear. Suspensions are offered by Showa. The ground clearance is 230mm. We get 200mm travel at both ends. When get a 21-inch wheel at the front and a 17-inch wheel at the rear. Tyre size at the front is 90/90-21 while at the rear we get 140/80-R17.

The Himalayan gets 825-845mm seat height as standard while a lower seat height of 805-825mm can also be opted. The fuel tank is 17 litres while the weight of the motorcycle is 196kg. When it comes to brakes we get 320mm disc at the front and 270mm disc at the rear. Dual-channel ABS is offered as standard and it is switchable.
