iQOO Neo 9 Pro to be available for Rs 31,999: Even though the phone is almost a year old, it is a solid deal

iQOO has announced deals on several of its smartphones that will be available during the Amazon Great Indian Festival sale, of which the offer on iQOO Neo 9 Pro is worth considering.

iQOO launched the iQOO Neo 9 Pro smartphone in the Indian market earlier this year. We reviewed the phone, and we found it to be a “surprisingly good” device. “The iQOO Neo 9 Pro 5G is so good. It has a bold design, a good 144Hz display, some flagship-level cameras, and a hassle-free performance”, we wrote in our review. The phone was launched at a starting price of R 35,999, with the top variant going up to Rs 36,999. The company has now announced that during the Amazon Great Indian Festival sale, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro 5G will be available at a discount of Rs 4,000.

As per details shared with us by iQOO, the Neo 9 Pro 5G smartphone will be available at a starting price of Rs 31,999 during the Amazon sale, which kicks off on September 27. Amazon Prime members will get early access to the sale on September 26. In addition to the discount of Rs 4,000, iQOO says that customers will also be able to get up to Rs 2,000 off on exchanging an old smartphone. There is also a no-cost EMI available on the phone with options for instalments for 3 months and 6 months.

While we found the iQOO Neo 9 Pro 5G to offer “snappy performance, a decent camera, good battery life, a super responsive display, and, for gamers, it’s a delight”. However, in our review we did find some discrepancies in the phone’s camera performance. Which is why, we recommend that “unless you are specifically looking for a camera-first smartphone on this budget, for daily usage, and for clicking images for social media, and for gaming on a budget, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro 5G is a great choice”.

iQOO Neo 9 Pro 5G: Key features

The iQOO Neo 9 Pro 5G sports a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display, boasting a peak brightness of 3,000 nits and a smooth 144Hz refresh rate. Notably, it features a 'Wet Hand Touch' capability, allowing the screen to function seamlessly even when your hands are wet.

Under the hood, it’s powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage. It also comes with an Adreno 740 GPU for an enhanced gaming experience. The phone includes 'Extended RAM' technology, which can effectively double your RAM — turning an 8GB device into a 16GB one, or a 12GB device into 24GB.

Gamers will appreciate its 6,043 mm² vapour chamber, the largest in iQOO's history, designed to keep the phone cool during intense gaming sessions.

In terms of photography, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro 5G is equipped with a dual-camera system, featuring a 50-megapixel IMX 920 night vision sensor and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens.

The phone is powered by a 5,160 mAh battery that supports ultra-fast 120W charging.

Additional features include IP54 certification for protection against dust and water splashes, as well as support for Wi-Fi 7, ensuring a reliable and fast wireless connection.
