IGNOU admission 2024: Last date extended for July session fresh ODL, online course
IGNOU has pushed the deadline for July 2024 admissions to October 15, offering students more time to apply for various ODL and online programs. This extension excludes semester-based and certificate courses.

Students now have until October 15, 2024, to apply for both Online Distance Learning (ODL) and online programmes.
The original deadline was September 30, 2024. Applicants are advised to apply on or before the deadline to avoid last-minute rushes and delays.
This update was shared by IGNOU on its official X (formerly Twitter) account, stating: "The last date for fresh admissions to the July 2024 session has been extended to October 15, 2024, for all ODL and online programmes, excluding semester-based and certificate courses."
STEPS TO APPLY FOR IGNOU JULY 2024 ADMISSIONS
- Visit the IGNOU website (ignou.ac.in)
- Click on the registration link available on the homepage
- Click on new login
- Fill in the registration form
- Pay the application fee and submit the form
- Download it and take a printout for future reference.
Applicants must ensure they have the necessary documents ready in the required format for IGNOU admissions. These include a scanned photograph and signature, each under 100 KB, as well as a scanned copy of relevant educational qualifications, not exceeding 200 KB.
Additionally, those with work experience can upload a scanned copy of their experience certificate (if applicable), and candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories must provide a scanned copy of their category certificate, both within the 200 KB size limit.
