Video: 2 workers left hanging mid-air after rope breaks at Noida construction site

A major accident was narrowly avoided at a construction site in Noida’s Sector 62 after two workers were left hanging mid-air when their rope securing their trolley snapped while they were cleaning windows of a building. The incident was caught on camera and has since gone viral on social media.

The incident occurred on Friday when workers were cleaning windows of a high-rise building without any safety gear. The video clearly shows the moment when one of the trolley’s ropes breaks, causing it to tilt, and the workers lose balance, leaving them dangling dangerously. Their lives were saved only because they had tied themselves to the trolley, preventing a fall.

Hearing the workers’ screams, other labourers on the building's roof quickly rushed to help. They slowly pulled the ropes to bring the two men safely back up.
