Coros drops new Pace Pro running watch with superfast processor, AMOLED screen & 20-day battery life

by · Irish Mirror

Coros is up there with Garmin and Polar as a global leader in dedicated multisports watches for athletes.

Its Vertix 2 and more recently released Vertix 2S rank alongside Garmin’s Fenix 8 range and Polar’s Grit X2 Pro as the best you can buy when it comes to GPS wearables for adventurers.

These fitness tracking tools may not offer the same smart features as the likes of Apple Watch Ultra 2 or Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra but they make up for that with far superior battery life that is going to be much more appealing to the likes of endurance athletes.

Pace Pro key features

Coros’ new Pace Pro wearable may be a more mid-price-range product that Vertix but it includes many of the same winning features such as the incredible battery stamina. Pace Pro can last longer in pure GPS training mode (38 hours) than Apple Watch Ultra 2 can in smartwatch mode.

And Pace Pro can last almost three weeks in smartwatch mode - more than two weeks the staying power of Apple Watch Ultra 2 and Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra.

Battery stamina is not the only great feature on Pace Pro. The fact that it’s the first Coros wearable with an Always-On AMOLED display is another huge deal. It comes with 1,500 nits of peak brightness that means you should be able to see this bright and colourful screen in any conditions.

The lightweight (37g) new wearable offers more than twice the processor performance and triple the zoom speed of its predecessors. It’s also the lightest AMOLED sports watch on the market.

The firm promises Coros Pace Pro will deliver enhanced satellite chipset utilising All-Systems and Dual-Frequency modes for superior GPS tracking whether on city streets or backcountry trails.

And Pace Pro will carry on the great Coros tradition of providing essential insights and tools that athletes need to perform at their best, including Training Status, custom workouts, detailed activity summaries and sleep analysis.

The firm also has a great reputation for supporting its products with useful software upgrades long after they are first released.
