Aung Barlay online lottery to launch twice monthly with five-digit format

The Aung Barlay Lottery Division has announced that the Aung Barlay Online Lottery will now be held twice a month, featuring a new five-digit format. The inaugural draw for this updated lottery will take place on October 15.

In this revamped version, the online lottery will introduce a jackpot prize. Ticket sales for the lottery will be paused from October 1 to October 14 as the transition from the previous six-digit format to the new five-digit system is finalized.

The jackpot prize will be available up to three times, regardless of whether there is a winner. If no winner emerges after three attempts, the jackpot will roll over to the next lottery draw, offering participants a chance for a larger prize. While reports suggest that this rollover system may occur up to six times, this detail has yet to be confirmed.

Since its launch in June 2023, the Aung Barlay Online Lottery has operated with a six-digit format and a single-letter designation, with tickets priced at 1,000 Kyats each. The highest prize currently stands at 500,000 Kyats, with draws taking place once a month.
