Shoppers said the Fire Max 11 Tablet is the 'best yet' of the Amazon range and that it 'blows all previous Fire tablets away' with its visuals and performance

Amazon has slashed the price of a Fire Tablet that has been branded the "best ever" of the range by shoppers with a "gorgeous" display.

The Fire Max 11 Tablet has been reduced from £249.99 down to £129 - its lowest ever price since it was first released in May 2023, according to price tracker CamelCamelCamel. Described as the brand's "most powerful tablet yet", this gadget boasts 14-hour battery life, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage - in other words, plenty of capacity for streaming, gaming, reading and loads more whether you're at home or on the go.

It can even be paired up with the Fire Max 11 Keyboard Case to turn it into a laptop ideal for working from home, with the keyboard currently on offer for £69.99 reduced from £89.99. And with over 1,850 reviews from Amazon shoppers, the tablet has earned an impressive average rating of 4.5 out of five stars.

One person said in a five-star review: "I have owned pretty much every Amazon tablet so far from the old Fire HD to the newer HD10s and the Fire 8. The Fire Max 11 blows all previous Amazon tablets away. Apart from the speed increase, the star of the show is the display. It is gorgeous."

Another reviewer agreed: "This machine is great for reading books, playing games, listening to audio books and anything else that I have asked it to do so far. I replaced a 7th generation Kindle Fire with this one and the improvements are immense."

While 74% of Amazon shoppers gave the tablet a five-star rating, some said they were left "disappointed" by the variety of apps on offer with the Google Play Store not available, while others were not happy that the headphone jack found on previous models had been removed.

For a more budget-friendly option, another of the latest Fire tablet models has also seen its price slashed - the Fire HD 10 Tablet, released in October 2023, has been reduced from £149.99 down to its lowest ever price of £79. Meanwhile, the all-new Fire HD 8 Tablet is now half price at £49.99 - or for the most budget-friendly option, the older Fire 7 Tablet can now be snapped up for less than half price at just £29.99.

Additionally, there are a host of savings to be had on Fire Tablets for kids, each of which comes with a year-long subscription to Amazon Kids+ included with access to thousands of educational books, videos, games and more. This includes the Amazon Fire HD 10 Kids Tablet released this year, now half price at £79.99, as well as the brand new Fire HD 8 Kids Tablet for the same price, or the older Fire 7 Kids for £49 reduced from £114.99.

Amazon is also beating tablet offers from other big brands over on the high street - Currys is offering £150 off the Apple 10.9" iPad, bringing its price from £499 down to £349, while the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Tablet is on offer for £169. However, Amazon is offering the iPad even cheaper for just £319, while the Galaxy Tab can be snapped up for £126 - although Currys beats Amazon with its offer price of the Galaxy Tab A9+ Tablet, available for £189 compared to Amazon's £204.13.

While the Fire Tablet offers will run until October 16, Amazon shoppers have just hours left to shop the Prime Big Deal Days sale before it comes to an end at midnight on Wednesday, October 9. Most of these deals are available exclusively to Amazon Prime subscribers, but non-members can currently take advantage of a 30-day free trial of the service, which is usually priced at £8.99, to access the offers at no extra cost.
