Here are score predictions for the Seahawks’ Week 5 game against the Giants at Lumen Field from The Seattle Times sports staff.

Week 5 vs. Giants

Mike Vorel (4-1)

49ers 30, Seahawks 20: Even without Christian McCaffrey, the 49ers remain dedicated to the run, as Jordan Mason sits second in the NFL in rushing yards (536) entering week six. Can a wobbly Seahawks front seven answer the call on Thursday night? Consider me unconvinced. Seattle will struggle (again) defensively and its uneven offense will fail to keep pace. A second consecutive short week won’t do this team any wonders.

Bob Condotta (4-1)

Seahawks 24, 49ers 21: As banged up as are the Seahawks, the 49ers aren’t at full strength without Christian McCaffrey. While the 49ers have looked like their old selves in blowouts of the Jets and Patriots, they’ve been mortal in their other three. Going on the road on a short week and coming off a stunning home loss to Arizona provides the Seahawks their best chance in three years to beat the 49ers.

Matt Calkins (3-2)

49ers 24, Seahawks 21: Seattle has been dominated on the line of scrimmage, and the 49ers are one of the more physical teams they’ve faced all year. Look for San Francisco to hand Seattle its third straight loss as September euphoria morphs into October panic.

Scott Hanson (1-2)

49ers 31, Seahawks 21: Both teams are coming off bad losses, but this game might be more important for the 49ers (2-3) than the Seahawks (3-2). It’s hard to see how Seahawks can stop the 49ers offense when it could not stop the Lions or the Giants.
