Tamworth FC tribute to 'brilliant' George Baldock after ex-player found dead at 31
Tributes have poured in from the world of football for George Baldock who also played in the Premier League with Sheffield United

The Greece international, who went on to play in the Premier League for Sheffield United, was found at his home in Glyfada, southern Athens.
Police reportedly attempted to resuscitate Baldock at the scene but he could not be saved. Baldock, born in England, had joined Greek side Panathinaikos in the summer after seven years at the Blades.
The defender also had a spell on loan at Tamworth FC in 2012 at at the start of his career. The Lambs described him as a "brilliant character and person".

A family statement last night confirmed the news. It read: "We can confirm that George has sadly passed away. As a family we are in shock at this terrible loss."
Tributes continued to pour in from the world of football overnight. Tamworth FC said: "We're deeply saddened by the sudden passing of our former player George Baldock.
"George joined Tamworth FC in 2012 at the start of his career from MK Dons on loan and made 18 appearances for the Lambs and also made his way onto the scoresheet. A brilliant character and a brilliant person, George went on to fulfill his potential and will always be remembered by everyone associated with Tamworth Football Club.
"Tamworth Football Club send our sincere condolences to George Baldock’s family, friends and everyone associated with him. A Lamb gone, but never forgotten. Rest in Peace George Baldock, the Lamb that made it all the way, we will forever miss you."
Sheffield United added: "Shocked and extremely saddened to learn of the passing of former player, George Baldock. The defender left the club in the summer after seven years at Bramall Lane and was extremely popular with supporters, staff and team-mates who pulled on a red and white shirt alongside him. The sincere condolences of everyone associated with Sheffield United are extended to George’s family and friends."
