Wordsley born snooker legend Ronnie O'Sullivan demonstrated exceptional sportsmanship, inviting applause for the female world number one, Mink Nutcharut, after securing a 6-3 win at the International Championship.

Having beaten the Thai player in Nanjing, he celebrated her efforts with an appreciative gesture that prompted a round of applause from the audience.

The commentators admired his gentlemanly behaviour, noting: "Very gracious, O'Sullivan asking the crowd to applaud Mink Nutcharut at the end. That's a nice way to finish."

Reflecting on the match, O'Sullivan felt honoured, expressing: "An absolute privilege to play such a talented opponent," and extended thanks for the encounter, as well as future well-wishes.

Following this display of camaraderie, O'Sullivan triumphed over He Guoqiang on Monday morning, continuing his pursuit of victory, according to reports from Wales Online.
