Hilltops 33, Huskies 18

One play made all the difference.

With the score knotted at 18-18 in what was a tense and tight Prairie Football Conference playoff game, the Edmonton Huskies were looking at a 46-yard field goal to take a 21-18 lead for a possible upset in semifinal action Sunday at SMF Field in Saskatoon.

Instead, kicker Laine Santos missed the mark and Charles Sawi weaved his way down the entire field for a 112-yard touchdown return. That gave the host Hilltops a huge boost and decisive lead as they went on for a 33-18 Thanksgiving weekend victory.
