Frostpunk 2 requires colonizing more areas than the first game, including Winterhome, exploring which involves some tough decisions.

Where is Winterhome in Frostpunk 2? Bigger than its predecessor, Frostpunk 2 involves expanding your large colony across the frozen wastelands, sending explorers out to uncover potential new homes to colonize.

As you send out your Frostpunk 2 explorers, naturally you don’t know what you’re going to find until you get there, but some story quests in the strategy game require you to find specific locations to colonize. If you need to find Winterhome, and fast, here’s where to send your Frostland teams first. Just be careful what you do with it, as warring factions want different things from the land.

Frostpunk 2 Winterhome location

As you can see from the image above, Winterhome is location to the east of New London. To get there, you first need to have explored The Gorge directly to the east of New London.

Winterhome plays a large part in the Frostpunk 2 story, as some factions wish to start a new colony there, while others seek to loot it for resources and leave it be. Some might think the latter are right given the toxic gases that fill the area, but either decision has its repercussions, so don’t go in hastily. Whichever you choose will change the course of the rest of your story and your Frostpunk 2 ending.

Winterhome is a large area and has vast amounts of resources to extract, including cores, materials, prefabs, food, fuel, and more. However, those toxic fumes will make it difficult to build a home there. Either way, you need one core, 20 Frostland teams, and 300 prefabs to move into Winterhome and continue your adventure.
