Wales player ratings as Neco Williams shines at both ends but Burnley man endures tricky night in Iceland draw
Here's how the Wales players rated during the 2-2 draw with Iceland
by Tom Coleman · Wales OnlineDanny Ward 6
Made some really good saves, but perhaps should have done better with Iceland's second.
Connor Roberts 5
Beaten far too easily for second goal. Had a tricky evening overall. Subbed.
Joe Rodon 6
Nothing to really take too much issue with. Just didn't quite have his usual influence at the back this time around.
Ben Davies 6
Made some decent interventions, but couldn't quite stop the Icelandic tide.
Neco Williams 8 - STAR MAN
At the heart of both goals, and made some really good defensive contributions including a clearance off the line. Wasn't so good after the break, but he wasn't the only one.
Sorba Thomas 6
Unlucky not to score in the first half. Made a couple of promising runs, but wasn't quite in the game as much as he'd have liked. Subbed.
Harry Wilson 8
Took his goal really well. Was similarly impressive in beating the offside trap for the opening goal. Made some really superb passes at times.
Jordan James 6
Not a bad showing, but probably not one of his best. A strong presence in the middle in the first half, but fell away a little after the break.
Ollie Cooper 6
Really good out of possession in the first half, but again didn't quite get a foothold after the break.
Brennan Johnson 7
In the right place at the right time for his goal. However, he picked up a rather silly booking that will rule him out of Monday's clash with Montenegro. Subbed.
Kieffer Moore 6
Held the ball up reasonably well, and had some promising moments in the box. But couldn't quite muster his usual level of influence.
