Springboks captain Siya Kolisi made a surprise visit to Wales women's camp today, presenting the team with their jerseys ahead of their must-win WXV2 clash with Japan.

Ioan Cunningham's side take on Japan in Cape Town on Friday, knowing they need to win to avoid relegation to WXV3.

And their preparations were boosted as the two-time World Cup-winning captain showed up earlier on Friday to hand the team their jerseys.

A video posted by the Welsh Rugby Union shows prop Sisilia Tuipulotu surprise her team-mates by bringing the Sharks back-row in to their team meeting, with the 21-year-old having contacted Kolisi herself to organise the presentation.

Tuipulotu had been a late arrival to South Africa, having missed the first game against Australia after being unable to travel amid visa issues.

As well as presenting the jerseys, Kolisi also had an inspiring message for Cunningham's side.

"I wanted to come and say hello and wish you luck in today's game," he said. "You guys are the generation that are probably going to change things for women's rugby.

"And just believe in yourself and know that you are good enough. You are enough to be in this space. You know, you've worked to be here.

"You don't have to feel shy about it. Own the space! So, good luck tonight."

After that, the players had the chance to meet Kolisi properly. "You smell nice," prop Donna Rose can be seen telling the 33-year-old.

"Thank you so much for your support," captain Hannah Jones told the South Africa skipper. "It's much appreciated."
