Welsh snooker legend Mark Williams left fans in awe with a spectacular jump shot during an exhibition match in China.

Known for his flair and trick shots, the three-time world champion showcased his skills once again in a recent 10-9 defeat to Judd Trump at the Saudi Arabia Masters final. Away from the World Snooker Tour, Williams has dabbled in the Ultimate Pool circuit and has expressed his fondness for Chinese eight-ball.

The exciting moment came when Williams was up against Cao Yupeng, a 33-year-old who has reached as high as No. 35 in the world rankings, in an eight-ball pool exhibition.

Faced with a tricky situation where a pink ball obstructed a straightforward pot of the final black, Williams executed a jaw-dropping jump shot over the pink, sinking the black into a distant pocket and winning the frame.

The crowd erupted into cheers and applause as Williams looked on in disbelief at his successful shot, reports the Express. Williams took to social media to share the incredible shot, which was watched by thousands online, with the caption: "Just a quick jump shot live in China."

Supporters echoed the sentiment in the comments of the 49 year old's post, with one admirer noting: "I love how you're equally surprised and chuffed at this. Superb shot!"

Another follower commented: "There is no end to your talents Willo!!! Brilliant," while a third chimed in: "This is where your future lies. Everyone having a few beers and celebrating a great shot like it's football."

Despite not hitting top form at the start of the season, Williams' impressive run to the final in Saudi Arabia has lined his pockets with £200,000, securing him the current World No.7 spot and putting him third on the one-year list.
