Heroes, zeros from Giants’ win over Seahawks: Tyrone Tracy stepped up big time

· New York Post

Heroes, zeros and the full blitz from the Giants’ 29-20 win over the Seahawks on Sunday:

Hero

Isaiah Simmons blocked the 47-yard FG that would have tied the game and likely forced overtime, then watched Bryce Ford-Wheaton ice it with a 60-yard TD return. “I gave him a game ball,” Brian Daboll said.

Unsung hero

Rookie Tyrone Tracy Jr. filled in for Devin Singletary and rushed 18 times for 129 yards, a week after the Giants mustered all of 26 yards on the ground.

Zero

DK Metcalf could not bully Deonte Banks and lost a costly fumble in Giants territory when it was a 10-10 game. He finished with just four catches for 55 yards.

Key stat

37:22 Time of possession for Daniel Jones and the Giants offense, keeping Seattle’s high-powered offense on the sidelines.

Quote of the Day

“I feel like I’m a better player than I was then.”

— Daniel Jones, when asked about his 2022 playoff season
