KUCHING (Sept 25): All Assistant Chefs de Missions (CDM) for the Sarawak contingent must ensure that their athletes secure gold medals in their respective events at the 21st Para Malaysia Games (Para Sukma XXI).

Sarawak’s CDM Datuk Mohd Razi Sitam, emphasised the importance of maintaining Sarawak’s dominance at the top of the standings as the state pursues its 14th overall championship title.

“We have instructed all Sarawak assistant CDMs to consistently motivate their athletes to ensure the mission of winning the 14th overall championship title at the 21st Para Sukma becomes a reality.

“This includes paying attention to the health and emotional well-being of the athletes, ensuring they continue to perform better in upcoming events,” he said.

He was speaking during a press conference following the athletics medal presentation ceremony at the Sarawak Stadium today.

Additionally, he urged Sarawak’s para athletes to maximise their efforts, especially those set to compete in the coming days.

“Today, we have achieved more than half of the 83 gold medals that were targeted previously.

“Thus, I am confident that Sarawak can maintain this momentum, and we will see the overall championship title fully embraced,” he said.
