KUCHING (Sept 28): The Sarawak Bumiputera Badminton Association (PBBS) has appointed OCIM Sdn Bhd (OCIM) as a collaborative partner, with the intention of advancing activities related to this sport throughout the state.

According to PBBS president Tan Sri Datuk Amar Abdul Aziz Hussain, OCIM’s expertise and dedication towards sports development align with the association’s vision of promoting and elevating badminton among Bumiputera communities across the state.

“With the appointment, we look forward to collaborating with OCIM to support our ongoing and future programmes aimed at nurturing local talents, organising badminton tournaments, and encouraging wider participation in this sport,” he said this in his brief remarks for a recent event to mark the collaboration, where South Korean professional badminton player Lee Yong Dae was also present.

On hand to receive the appointment letter was OCIM president Choi Sung Kil, who was accompanied by his wife Dr Kim Soo Yeong.

OCIM is part of the OCI company of Korea, a leading global green energy and chemical company founded in 1959.
