Chelsea's Christopher Nkunku has given a cryptic update on his future amid rumours of a return to Paris Saint-Germain.

The French forward joined the Blues as part of Todd Boehly's second summer splurge, signing a six-year deal from RB Leipzig for a hefty £52million. However, his first season at Stamford Bridge was marred by injuries, with a pre-season knee issue delaying his Premier League debut until December and a hamstring injury in February further limiting his appearances.

This season, despite struggling for starts under new boss Enzo Maresca, the 26-year-old has found his scoring boots, netting seven times in 11 games across all competitions. Speaking to Telefoot, Nkunku said: "PSG remains a big club, but there has not been one approach."

Nicolas Jackson has been handed the number-nine starting berth in most of Chelsea's matches this season. And Maresca has recently acknowledged this.

"Both Nicolas and Christo are doing fantastic, not only because they are scoring but in the way they work off the ball and sacrifice for the team. That is very important for both of them," he told Chelsea's website last month.

"It’s a nice problem when you have two strikers who continue to score. Unfortunately, Marc Guiu is not scoring at this moment but hopefully soon he can score goals as well."

He added: "When you can decide which one to start with, it's nice. And because they are in a good moment we can use them both."
