Enzo Maresca handed £19m Chelsea boost in new update ahead of January transfer window
by Bobby Vincent · football.londonOmari Kellyman's recovery from his hamstring injury is progressing well, football.london understands, with the 19-year-old due back at the beginning of next month.
The teenage midfielder, who was signed for around £19million in the summer transfer window from Aston Villa, is yet to feature for the senior team in what has been an injury-disrupted start to life at Chelsea, where he is aiming to become a "big player" for the club in the future.
"I want to be successful in the Chelsea shirt; to win games and hopefully trophies," Kellyman said in an interview back in June. "[Over time] hopefully, I can become one of the faces on the side of the stadium. I want to become a big player for this club."
Kellyman is targeting a return to regular training at Cobham by the end of November, while the beginning of December has been earmarked for a return to competitive action. During his rehabilitation programme, which has seen him on the sidelines for over two months, football.london understands Kellyman has been working on increasing muscle.

For Kellyman, if he was not so unfortunate with the injury he suffered, the UEFA Conference League campaign would have been the perfect opportunity for the teenager to showcase his talent to the world. Already under Enzo Maresca, some of the club's brightest young talent have been given a go in Europe.
The likes of Tyrique George, Shim Mheuka, Kiano Dyer and Samuel Rak-Sakyi have all been involved in senior squads this season in Europe. Chelsea welcome Armenian minnows Noah to Stamford Bridge on Thursday evening in the halfway point of their league phase campaign.
In his pre-match press conference on Wednesday afternoon, Maresca confirmed Rak-Sakyi and George would definitely be in the squad for the match in SW6. Also spotted in the Blues' open training session shortly after the press conference were the likes of Zain Silcott-Duberry, Mheuka and Ato Ampah.
