Arsenal can grant Leroy Sane transfer 'dream' as bargain deal timeline confirmed
by Mark Wakefield · football.londonArsenal have been told why they may have a chance to sign Bayern Munich star Leroy Sane.
The Gunners had a busy summer transfer window with six new arrivals joining David Raya, whose loan from Brentford was made permanent after his first season at the Emirates Stadium. Riccardo Calafiori, Mikel Merino, Tommy Setford and Lucas Nygaard were all signed on permanent deals, while Raheem Sterling and Neto also joined on loan until the end of the season.
It remains to be seen what targets Mikel Arteta will have in mind to strengthen his squad, if any, when the transfer window reopens in January. Reports over the summer claimed that Arsenal were interested in signing Sane before the transfer window closed.
Although no deal was agreed, it seems that the speculation linking the Gunners with a move for the former Manchester City star is not going away.
Bundesliga reporter Christian Falk for Sport Bild has provided an update on Sane's future amid reports he could leave Bayern in 2025. The 28-year-old's contract is set to expire at the end of the season, meaning he could be available on a free transfer next summer.
Falk has reported that Arsenal are interested in the possibility of signing Sane, and could have a potential advantage in a deal. It has been claimed that Sane has "dreamed" of moving to London ever since his days at the Etihad Stadium with City.

Reports have claimed that Bayern will try to reach an agreement with Sane over a new contract before the January transfer window opens. Should the situation remain unresolved in the New Year, clubs outside of Germany - which would include Arsenal - would be able to swoop in and try and negotiate a pre-contract agreement with the forward.
