Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are still going strong, despite the singer's recent absence from his NFL games causing a stir among fans. The power couple had been subject to break up rumours after Swift was seen spending time with Gigi Hadid in New York instead of watching Kelce play.

Confusion grew when she did not show up at the Los Angeles Chargers game, for reasons unexplained at the time. Swifties were left anxious over the state of Taylor's relationship with Kelce, especially when she missed watching the NFL star live in action.

However it has now emerged that security concerns were behind Swift's choice, allowing Kelce to concentrate on his game without distractions, despite both facing scrutiny over his dip in performance during the Chiefs' first three matches.

A return to form in the last game hushed critics, and relief swept through the fanbase when reports began to surface that the relationship is intact.

TMZ has stepped in with confirmation, citing sources close to Swift and Kelce: "Sources familiar with the couple tell TMZ Taylor and Travis remain a couple, even though she hasn't been able to make it to his last two games in Atlanta and Los Angeles... She was a staple at games last season and fans are starting to get worried about trouble in paradise, but we're told that's simply not the case here."

Kelce had previously been under fire for only managing 69 yards in the first three games, but he more than doubled that score against the Chargers this past weekend, achieving 90 yards and seven catches with Swift not present.

Page Six reported that her absence from the game provided the high-profile couple with a bit of "a break" from the relentless negativity they've both been subjected to.

It's still uncertain whether Swift will show up at the Chiefs' forthcoming match against the New Orleans Saints. The pop sensation is due to return to performing from October 18, with gigs lined up until early December in Miami, New Orleans, Indianapolis, Toronto and Vancouver.
