BREAKING: Lee Carsley names final England squad with Liverpool ace among three uncapped stars

Lee Carsley has picked his England squad for the final pair of matches under his interim reign, with games against Greece and Republic of Ireland to seal Three Lions' Nations League fate

Taylor Harwood-Bellis is the shock call-up for England's Nations League squad to face Greece and Republic of Ireland.

Southampton defender Harwood-Bellis, 22, played for Lee Carsley in the under-21s Championship winning squad last year and has been rewarded at senior level. Harwood-Bellis started the final against Spain in the European Championships for Carsley as captained the team to success.

John Stones is missing as is Harry Maguire so interim boss Carsley has turned to Harwood-Bellis who came through the Manchester City academy. Newcastle full back Lewis Hall has also won his first senior call-up after his impressive form for his club in the left back berth. England have been struggling for left backs so that is a major boost to have Hall coming through.

Carsley has named 26 players in the squad including Liverpool's in-form Curtis Jones and it also features Jack Grealish. City midfielder Grealish is a surprise inclusion because Pep Guardiola has insisted he has been injured and is therefore unavailable for his club.

Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White, who made his debut in September but missed out last month due to injury, has been recalled despite returning from injury and suspension for in-form Forest last weekend against West Ham.
