WWE's Tiffany Stratton says it's time for a Women's Intercontinental title and she wants it first

To celebrate tonight's Bad Blood we spoke exclusively with the star and have teamed up with WWE to give Mirror readers 25% off WWE tickets to see her and other wrestlers live

WWE's Tiffany Stratton may not have a match booked for WWE's Bad Blood this evening but fans will still be keeping an eye on Miss Money in the Bank as she looks for the optimum time to cash in for her title shot. But when Mirror Sport got an exclusive chat with the star, she was keen to point out that the breadth of talent in the women's roster is such that, while she's not ruling out an existing title, she'd be more than happy for an additional one.

Stratton has made a huge impact since she moved onto the main WWE roster from her impressive NXT run, making her debut at the Backlash pay-per-view in Perth, Australia, an experience she described as ‘a fever dream.’ As an ex-professional gymnast, Stratton is used to high-pressure situations but freely explains her stratospheric rise in WWE has been 'next level,' especially after scooping the prestigious Money in the Bank briefcase so soon after her debut.

The briefcase gives her the chance to cash in for a championship match at a time and for a title of her choosing within a year of her win. With her pink, blinged-up briefcase permanently in tow, she’s definitely biding her time. She explains: “I definitely feel like I have to wait for the perfect moment. I don't want to be the first woman to ever fail a cash-in, I want to be very specific and very smart about when I do it.”

While rumblings of tension between Stratton and current women’s champion and friend Nia Jax seem to have been increasing in recent weeks, causing some fans to speculate about a potential cash-in there - as early as tonight - Stratton is happy to discuss other options, including one surrounding the often-debated fan wish for a secondary women’s title along the lines of the men’s iconic Intercontinental and US Titles.

She said: “I think a women's IC title or a US title would be so amazing, especially for our women's division because it is so stacked. We have so many amazing women's wrestlers on our roster so there’s definitely room for an extra title. I’d love to be the first to win one of those and establish myself as the first-ever IC title, US title or midcard title whatever you want to call it. It would be pretty cool to make the history books.

“I think an IC title would be so cool, it’s iconic.”

Aside from her title hopes, Stratton has her eye on a dream opponent currently not on the active roster list - the woman who inspired her to start in the business in the first place. She explains: “I didn’t grow up watching wrestling. My dad and brothers did but I was always busy with gymnastics or with whatever sport that I was doing at the time.

"Eventually, I was around 18 or 19 years old when I saw a Friday Night SmackDown and I saw Charlotte Flair. And I thought she was so cool, and she kind of made me think of myself. She's this blonde, athletic, jacked girl, thriving in the WWE, and I thought that I could definitely do that. Nowadays, Charlotte Flair is a dream opponent for me.”

WWE is currently riding a huge wave of popularity with British fans which only looks set to increase further as they move all of their UK broadcasting to air on Netflix from early 2025. Stars such as Cody Rhodes, former champion Roman Reigns, Rhea Ripley and social media star Logan Paul mean fans are following the shows, ongoing feuds and storylines arguably more closely than they have for decades.

In addition, the UK has hosted three major pay-per-view events in two years, and London Mayor Sadiq Khan is reportedly discussing the possibility of the capital hosting the first-ever non-North American Wrestlemania. So far, wrestling names including John Cena, Drew McIntyre, Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill have joined calls for the UK to host the WWE's two-night Super Bowl-style extravaganza and Stratton is happy to agree, telling us: "I think it'd be amazing. I heard the UK crowds and the UK fans are crazy in the best way possible, it would be so cool for us."

WWE will be touring the UK later this month and again in November, with shows in Cardiff, Newcastle, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Nottingham and Sheffield. The biggest show announced so far will see more than 20 wrestlers take part in the brand's debut show at the Co-op Live Arena and will include three championship title matches. The main event will be a Bull Rope Match for the Undisputed WWE Championship between The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes and The Bloodline's Solo Sikoa, reports Lancs Live.

Tickets are currently available via Ticketmaster, with Mirror readers able to secure a 25% discount on all standard-priced tickets using the code REACH25 at checkout. This discount code does not apply to Platinum or VIP seating, but it does offer fans a quarter off all standard-price tickets, which range from £53.50 to £267.50. This could result in savings of up to £66 on seats with some of the best views, while also reducing the cost of the most budget-friendly options to just £40.95.

How to watch WWE Bad Blood on UK TV

There's good news if you want to watch the first Bad Blood event in 20 years live to find out if Stratton cashes in, as the show starts earlier than usual to tie in with UFC 307, meaning British fans can start watching from 11pm rather than the usual slot two hours later.

Bayley versus Nia Jax is just one match on the packed card, which includes Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes teaming up against Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu from the New Bloodline and a Hell in a Cell outing in the latest brutal rematch of arguably 2024's feud of the year between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre.

Elsewhere, former Judgment Day teammates Damian Priest and Finn Bálor will finally go one-on-one. Meanwhile, the other Terror Twin, Rhea Ripley, will get her chance for revenge against Liv Morgan in a title match which will also see Dominik Mysterio suspended above the ring in a shark cage.

In the UK Bad Blood will be available on TNT Sports Box Office or via the WWE Network.
