by · Manchester Evening News

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola faced the media on Friday lunchtime for the first time in a fortnight ahead of the return of Premier League football.

Pep on England links

Pep Guardiola does not feel rushed into making a decision on his Manchester City future with his contract running out.

While the manager insists that he will not be around forever - although he will not be the next England manager despite an approach in summer - he is happy that the club will be able to move on without him.

As the man who trusted him with the Barcelona reins at the start of his coaching career, after being teammates at the club, the pair have plenty of shared history.
